Well what a week it has been for Essex and Suffolk wedding photographer Kevin Pengelly of Pengelly Photography, not only has he just gained the highest qualification within the MPA his Fellowship in Weddings but in the same week Kevin has just been notified that he has 3 images in the MPA National awards.
This is the second year in a row that Kevin has been in the MPA National Finals in Weddings and for the first time this year in contemporary portrait.
Kevin’s images were selected from over 3500 images that were entered the MPA competition is only open to full time professional photographers.
The awards are being held in Newcastle on Sunday 9th October, where Kevin will be awarded his Fellowship.

Essex and Suffolk wedding photographer Kevin Pengelly of Pengelly Photography are very proud to announce that on Wednesday 24th August Kevin was awarded his Fellowship in Weddings with the MPA in Darlington.
Kevin is only the 7th MPA wedding photographer in the country to achieve this qualification and the first to achieve this in Essex and Suffolk.
Special thanks must go to Kevin Wilson who has over the past two years mentored me to this ultimate accolade, the time and effort Kevin Wilson has put in has been a credit to him as he gives up his time and knowledge freely.
Kevin would also like to thank all the B&G who images Kevin used in his panel without them Kevin would not be where he is today.
Fellowship is the most prestigious qualification that a professional photographer is able to achieve in social photography.
Fellowship is achieved on production of a collection of work that truly reflects an individual style one that can be attributed to the author of the submission that consists of 20 faultless images that must hang together as a complete set and be recognised as the body of work of one person.
This work will demonstrate, individuality, symmetry, graphic design, composition and a true mastery of light control. Awarding of Fellowship is the ultimate recognition of one’s artistry and attention to detail in pursuit of excellence. Very few photographers achieve this status.
