Kevin & Sabrina had a very nice phone call this morning from Trevor Lewis Hon FMPA DipPP that they had both passed their Diploma In Photographic Practice.

The MPA Diploma is made up of six modules which not only covers photographic technique and ability but the “business” side as well including our Health and Safety policy and risk assessment, professional indemnity and public liability, complete business plans for the next 5 years and marketing.

This is another sure reason why to book a photographer that has completed the MPA Diploma as it shows that Pengelly Photography adhere to sound business practices and also conform and understand the latest legal requirements.

Not only did we both pass our MPA Diploma in Photographic Practices, but Sabrina has also passed her Licentiate with the MPA.

Well with Christmas only around the corner and fast approaching Pengelly Photography need to advise on the Christmas dead line for re prints.

Absolutely do not worry re the photo’s, we were expecting them to take a month or so given your workload and are more than happy to wait. We are sure they will be worth the wait anyway!

We wanted to say a huge and heartfelt thank you for all your help on the day. I personally think every bride should have a Sabrina! I understand from the men that Kevin was a great help too so thank you thank you thank you! Kevin, thank you also for calming me and reassuring me when I started to panic about the make up being too heavy! Sabrina’s help with lottie and the calm remindings of timings was absolutely invaluable. You both really added to our day and weren’t bolting straight out the door like some of our other suppliers! I do apologise for the timings being a little stressful for you and also for not sending my uncle packing when he came to take a personal shot!

You were both great with the guests and clearly highly professional and competent. Many guests commented on this also and my dad in particular was most impressed.

On Sunday 9th October Kevin Pengelly of Pengelly Photography was awarded his Fellowship in Weddings with the MPA at The Annual Award ceremony in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

This was one of the proudest nights for Kevin as he is now only 1 of 7 in the country to achieve a Fellowship in weddings within the MPA

Sudbury based photographer, Kevin Pengelly, has received the ultimate recognition for his excellence in wedding photography after being awarded a Fellowship by the Master Photographers Association (MPA) – the highest qualification available.

The MPA, the leading organisation within the photographic industry, prides itself on the quality of its members.  Membership of the Association is only open to full time professional photographers and there are strict entry requirements that all photographers must meet before they can join the Association.

Desi Fontaine FMPA, Chairperson of the Judging Panel said: ”A professional photographer awarded a Fellowship from The Master Photographers Association has reached the pinnacle of their career in terms of qualifications.   This highest level of qualification is a great honour bestowed by the MPA only to those photographers who have submitted a panel of top class images to the judges.   They will have proved not only that they have mastered lighting control, composition and post production techniques, but will have shown that their individual sense of creativity and style has reached an extremely high level.
“The Master Photographers qualifications are held in high regard and the knowledge of this will give new and existing clients the confidence that they are using the services of a bone fide reliable, highly qualified professional who has invested so much time and passion into their art.”

Kevin Pengelly is only the 7th wedding photographer in the country to achieve Fellowship within the MPA and the first wedding photographer in Essex and Suffolk
